The project included spot repair of concrete and brick pavers in the sidewalks; complete removal of spalled crosswalks and replacement with new crosswalks with brick paver inlays; and reclaiming the bus stop pull-offs as space for people to gather, eat, or relax. The traffic lanes were re-striped to create dedicated bike lanes in both directions; a FLEX lane to allow temporary parking for quick trips into restaurants or shops; and narrower through lanes to help slow traffic.
Cullman Warehouse District
Cullman, Alabama
Renta Urban Land Design provided Master Planning for the City of Cullman’s Warehouse District. The scope of the plan activated the area’s 1st Avenue North-East into a walkable, urban hub that now features ADA accessible pathways, native landscape plantings, festival lighting, and a new system of brick paver crosswalks.
Eagle Scout
Monument Plaza
Birmingham, Alabama
RULD provided renovation and addition plans for the Eagle Scout Monument Plaza which included an updated, ADA accessible amphitheater and an additional monument wall with room to celebrate all scouts who earn the prestigious Eagle Scout rank in Alabama. As with every public site, it is very important to RULD to make the entire site ADA accessible, which means all generations can visit with ease.
Pine Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant
Prattville, Alabama
This landscape plan was part of a major plant expansion to nearly double the capacity of wastewater treatment, accounting for 30 years of projected growth.

The 280 Shelby County Public Services Building
Birmingham, Alabama
Renta Urban Land Design provided hardscape, landscape, and irrigation design for the facility which houses the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), permit office, the public works department, police, Shelby County Economic Development office, and the Central Alabama Wellness Center.
