The Hilltop Montessori School campus in Mt. Laurel, Alabama, is a LEED‑Certified and ASLA award winning learning environment that immerses students in nature through forest playscapes, outdoor classrooms, edible and permeable gardens, and an accessible wildflower and butterfly garden trail system. Designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding pine woodland, the campus expands learning through a gym, teaching kitchen, and a farm‑to‑fork program supported by rainwater harvesting. All native plants on campus are edible and intentionally integrated into the curriculum, reinforcing Hilltop’s mission to connect children to ecology, sustainability, and the land.
