It includes environmental study areas and over two miles of nature trails connecting the site to the local intermediate school. The library is designed for sustainability, with solar‑efficient east west orientation, extensive tree shading, a rooftop garden, and a light‑colored roof that together reduce energy use and heat buildup. Additional features like water collection for irrigation and recycled materials further minimize environmental impact.
