THE RENTA URBAN LAND DESIGN OFFICE

What began in 1970 as a private residence on a 40-acre farm has taken on a few lives since then. By 1990, the property had transitioned into office and commercial use, serving for years as the workplace of a local attorney. In 2021, RULD saw something more in the site and took it on as a full transformation project. The renovation was extensive, so much so that most people passing by had no idea a house had ever been here. By 2023, the project was complete, reintroducing the property as a thoughtfully reimagined space with a new purpose and identity.

Today, the office is more than just a place to work. It’s a living, breathing extension of what we do. As a landscape architecture firm, we use the site as a constantly evolving environment where ideas are explored, tested, and refined in real time. From plantings and gardens to hardscape and bio-retention systems, the landscape is always in motion. Stormwater is managed organically through bio-retention beneath the parking area, which then feeds into a swale that supports our wildflowers. The result is a space that is not only environmentally conscious, but also hands-on and ever-changing. It's an everyday reflection of how we think, design, and create.
